Underground After Hours Season Finale

As the nights get darker, the denizens of Sacramento City are raring to show fine citizens the seedier side of the Gold Rush…in a whole new way.

Just as in our regular Underground After Hours tours, our guides divulge matters they just can’t discuss on the daytime tours: Murder, mischief, madness, mayhem – and madams!

But in this special, one-night-only supersized event you’ll mix it up with the city’s lowdown scoundrels and learn true tales of passion, revenge, and profit from the mouths of those who were there! Meet swindlers, soiled doves and sneaky speculators!

Needless to say, you must be 21 or older to take part.

Jump on one of three tours for this spectacular event, Friday, Nov. 8 – departing at 6:00 p.m., 6:30 pm, and 7:00 pm from the Sacramento History Museum.

Admission for our final night of adults-only tours will be $30. We recommend making reservations early, because tours can sell out quickly. We cannot refund or exchange tickets, unfortunately.

Underground After Hours tours depart from the Sacramento History Museum, 101 I Street in Old Sacramento. This half-mile guided historical walking tour lasts about 90 minutes and visits areas with uneven surfaces and low ceilings. The tour is ADA compliant and can accommodate up to 20 people.

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to pick up your tickets at the front desk of the museum. Tours depart from the museum precisely on time.

Tours run rain or shine – please dress for the weather, and wear comfortable and closed-toed shoes.

The tour ends in front of the River City Saloon on Second Street, with a commemorative shot glass and a ticket for a discount drink.

Please note: Photography is not allowed in the Underground spaces.

Metered parking can be found on the streets of Old Sacramento or in the Old Sacramento Parking Garage on 2nd and I streets.

Please note, when events are occurring downtown, at the Golden One Center, or at Raley Field, parking can be sparse in Old Sacramento. Please leave extra time to find parking if taking a tour on an event day.
