Dia de Los Muertos
Join us for our Dia de Los Muertos exhibition, through November 10th. Dive into the rich traditions that honor those who have passed, including the remarkable contributions of early Sacramento leaders who helped shape our beloved city.
Leave a message to your loved one and unleash your creativity with a crafting activity. This pop-up exhibit, located on the 3rd floor, is included with your museum admission.
Homeschool Day!
On November 6, 2024, the Museum will be open to homeschool groups to participate in some of our educational programs. We will have some scheduled and timed programs that will be led by docents and some drop-in programs where docents can provide assistance and participants can go at their own pace. The day will start at 10am and go until 4pm.
A Superhero Sketch Fest!
Would you like to hone your doodling skills? Join us for a Superhero Sketch Fest at the Museum on Monday, November 11th from 11am to 3pm! Get tips on creating your own superhero character from local artists, then learn how to build an adventurous tale through storyboarding. Workshops for Heroic Havoc are free with Museum admission.
Print Shop Experience
Experience a rare and unique opportunity to go behind-the-scenes and get a hands-on opportunity at a centuries old craft. Book a Print Shop Experience where you and up to three guests can become a Printer and create your own Wanted Poster, press prints, and get the history on our antique presses.

America’s Monsters, Superheroes, & Villains!
The Sacramento History Museum at the Old Sacramento Waterfront is proud to present , America’s Monsters, Superheroes and Villains: Our Culture at Play, a multi-generational display of toys, comics, posters, and videos of the 60s – 90s. Runs through January 5th!
