Living History General Meetings (2nd Saturday of every month)

Old Sacramento Living History holds General Meetings on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 10-11am.

Interested visitors and new members are always welcome.

OSLH is a volunteer organization dedicated to creating a “street museum” of costumed characters to teach the public about the history of Old Sacramento.

Find us in the Living History Center, located on Firehouse Alley between I and J streets in Old Sacramento.

Bonnet Promenade and Easter Ball

You are cordially invited to join Old Sacramento Living History at their annual Bonnet Promenade and Easter Ball. The public is invited and encouraged to attend and participate.

11-11:30am Bonnet Promenade

Let’s welcome Spring! Put on your most cheerful bonnet and join us as we stroll through the streets of Old Sacramento. We start off in front of the Sacramento History Museum and stroll through the streets of Old Sacramento greeting visitors and shopkeepers alike.

1-3pm Easter Ball

After lunch, we’ll reconvene at the Stanford Gallery for our Easter Ball. Attendees can expect to learn and participate in 19th century waltzes and line dances accompanied by live music provided by the local music ensemble, Claudia’s Kitchen Band!

If you are interested in joining Living History, this is the perfect event to attend! Current members will be in attendance at the ball to answer your questions.

Spring Tea

12:30-2:30pm at the Stanford Gallery

Come discover the rituals and etiquette of a proper Victorian tea. Our members will be recreating a traditional tea with all its finery and dress.
