History Camp 2018


Have your child come and join us at History Camp 2018!

Old Sacramento History Camp is a day camp that provides a safe, fun, and educational experience.  Campers will take part in field trips to historic sites and museums in the Sacramento area, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities.  History Camp Directors create daily schedules that ensure there is never a dull moment at camp.

History Camp is for children in 1st -7th grade. Each session is based in Sacramento or California History, but also emphasizes a particular theme.


July 9  – 13: History Live!- Dramatic Arts Theme

          Campers will spend the week rehearsing an original play, with a special performance for parents the last day of camp!  

July 16  – 20: Gold Fever!-  Gold Rush History Theme

          Campers will discover California’s Gold Rush history through field trips, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.


July 23  – 27: Dig It!- Social Sciences Theme

         Campers will spend the week exploring different occupations related to history, and how they play out in Sacramento.  This week is recommended for children 8 and above. 


Camp runs from 9am – 4pm, with an option for extended care.

This year registration will begin on Monday March 19th at 10am.

Early Bird $185 per week! 

After April 30th  $200 per week

Sacramento History Museum members receive a discounted rate.
