Join the Sacramento History Museum and Nikki Thompson from Deconstructed Artichoke Press for Bookbinding Bonanza: Pamphlets, Accordions, and More! Tied into the museum’s newest exhibit, California in Print, learn one of the crafts behind producing printed media, binding books!

This series includes three hour-long virtual workshops on January 23, 30, and February 6 at 10:00 am where you can learn book arts from the comfort your very own home! Tickets for each session are $30 for museum members and $35 for non-members. Bundle all three classes and save! When purchasing the bundle, all three classes are only $80 for museum members and only $95 for non-members. All supplies are included in the cost of your workshop, and supplies can be picked up from the museum prior to each session.

Nikki Thompson is a book artist (aka Deconstructed Artichoke Press) and poet. With an MFA from the California College of the Arts, her art explores architecture, feminism, and the politics of work through the mixed media of bookmaking, printmaking, and photography. Her work has been awarded First Prize at Gallerie Renee Marie and a Purchase Prize at 23 Sandy Gallery. She has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and received the College Book Arts Association Project Assistance Grant.
